Danielle & Todd's Engagement Session

Danielle & Todd's wedding is fast approaching, so we ventured out to Waterfront Park & Main Street to shoot their engagement session. Todd's little girl came along which made the session even more fun.

One Hero Among Many

In about a week, my brother, Jerad, will be on a plane bound for Afghanistan. Although I am scared for the dangers he will face, I am so proud of him. He stands for what he believes in and he is a patriot. I am so thankful that we have brave young men and women like him to defend our great country and our way of life. It is because of our soldiers that we aren't facing the terror of many parts of the world on our own soil right now.

Before he left, I wanted to shoot some photos of him that really honor that notion. We went to the US Soldier burial ground at Cave Hill Cemetery for the ones in uniform. The casual ones were shot on Bardstown Road in the Highlands.

Please keep my brother and his unit in your thoughts and prayers over the coming months.

The Bridal Suite of Louisville Photo Shoot

We had such a great time shooting these photos last week! I had great models and they made it a lot of fun. Laurie is going to use a few of these to decorate her bridal boutique (not that it needs much-- it is a very beautiful store!) If you haven't purchased your gown yet, I strongly recommend paying them a visit!

Tricia's Baby Shower

We had lots of fun at my sister-in-law's Baby Shower on Saturday. Thank goodness my mom was there to help me get it all together. Pulling off a not-so-lame Baby Shower is hard work!

Tricia & Mark are expecting their bundle of joy by mid-May. Everyone is so excited to meet little Ethan Isaac!

Now, let me just explain a couple of these photos-- we played a little guess-which-candy-bar-is-melted-in-which-diaper game. The resemblance of the real thing is rather startling, as you will see in the expressions on a few faces! :)
