Whew.. I have been so busy with engagement sessions lately! It is the perfect time of year to shoot outdoors because the foliage is just full of brilliant colors. We shot Ashley and Brad's session at Berheim Forest. I am literally in love with these images! They are such a gorgeous couple!

Nancy and Ben are Engaged!

I had so much fun with Nancy and Ben today. It was freezing cold with the wind blowing, but the colors on the trees were worth every moment of it. They are a gorgeous couple, aren't they?!?!

Kim and Darin are Engaged!

Kim and Darin are getting married Easter weekend at the Galt House. They really wanted their engagement session to be Louisville-themed, as many of their guests will be coming from out of town, and they want to celebrate our wonderful city in the art work on their save-the-dates. So we headed down to the Galt House and shot in a few locations within the hotel. Of course, we also had to take advantage of the docked Belle of Louisville and The Belvedere. Kim and Darin are both a little camera shy, but they warmed up so quickly and we had a lot of fun together. I love it when I can encourage couples to forget about the camera, focus on each other and have fun. The results are so amazing. Check them out! Aren't they so sweet?! I can't wait for their wedding!

Where To I Do: A Guide to Louisville Weddings

Jaqueline, founder of WhereToIDo.com, is a graphic designer, a crafter, and now a Maid of Honor. In her duties as MOH, she found Louisville lacked a go-to website dedicated to wedding planning. Thus "Where To I Do" was born. It's a simple, central resource for brides to gather knowledge and get help organizing their weddings in the Louisville blog offers stories of local brides and provides links to all wedding vendors in Louisville, uniquely giving you a summary of each. Just click a name to find out more!

She recently contacted me requesting to feature one of my couples on her site. Check out Amy and Kevin's story on wheretoido.blogspot.com and all of the other good info available on the site!

Lexi and Russ are Hitched!

Wow! What an amazing wedding day it was for Lexi and Russ. They were married on October 3rd; with a little chill in the air and beautiful skies, it was the perfect fall wedding. The wedding was an intimate gathering of family and friends that really reflected their style- simple and beautiful. I enjoyed the day so much- there were wonderful photo opportunities all around the venue and the entire family was warm and welcoming. Seriously, if I didn't have a baby to get home to I would have stayed until the very end of the reception! I am so excited to share these images with you!

Meet Erica, Vogue Visions Photography's Newest Team Member!

Photobucket

Erica is now my Marketing Coordinator and Intern. I am so excited to have her- she is intelligent, outgoing, beautiful and super-nice! Here's what she has to say:

Hey there! My name is Erica Carter. I was born and raised here in Louisville, Kentucky. I am an English student at the University of Louisville, and I’m preparing to graduate with my bachelors degree in May 2010. My concentration areas are in journalism and creative writing. I feel that I express myself best through writing, and I keep my camera handy because I love capturing different moments. I love to play soccer, and dance (mainly jazz and modern) in my free time. After graduation I plan to continue with school to pursue my Masters degree. I am honored to be an assist and to help promote Vogue Visions Photography. I look forward to learning more about the business world through my hands-on experience. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Jessica, and look forward to a fun filled learning experience.

Erin and David are Hitched!

Erin and David were married September 26th at the Rauch Planetarium and their reception followed at the Lake Forest Country Club. There was a threat of downpour the whole day, but it never rained a drop (that is, until the end of the night, when I was heading back to my car with all of my equipment!) We were so lucky to have been able to shoot portraits of the bride, groom and their families outdoors. The Planetarium has a neat courtyard and the country club has a beautiful lawn area right in front of the building. Not only was the weather gorgeous, but so were the bride and groom! See for yourself!
